Christians Against Poverty

CAP is an award winning national charity operating in partnership with local churches across the UK to lift people out of debt and poverty.  They do this by offering free face-to-face debt counselling as well as free money management courses. The Mole Valley CAP Debt Centre is one of over 300currently open in the UK.

The Mole Valley CAP Debt Centre opened in the summer of 2013.  A trained Centre Manager/Debt Coach works two days per week, supported by a team of volunteers, including “befrienders” who go with her to visit clients in their own homes.  There have been some amazing success stories, with many clients going debt free and others well on their way.

Prayer is vital to the work of CAP and a prayer meeting takes place on the third Monday evening of each month.  This is a good time to find out about what is happening locally and nationally and to pray for the Centre Manager, the volunteers, the clients, the steering group and staff at Head Office in Bradford, who do an amazing job.
