Our Faith and Vision

Who we are

Crossways Community Baptist Church is a fellowship of Christians, affiliated to both the Baptist Union and The Evangelical Alliance, who seek to follow the Lord in Spirit and in the Truth.

We are committed to renewal through the Holy Spirit, to worshipping the Lord in a contemporary style, to partnership in mission with churches overseas, and to work in the local community especially with reference to those in more acute need. We are part of Churches Together in Dorking

Our Faith

We describe ourselves broadly as being an evangelical, charismatic Baptist fellowship committed to renewal, action in the community and mission.

Our Mission Statement is:

We aim to become an effective community of Spirit-filled believers, each playing their part in fulfilling the purposes of the church. We believe that The General Purpose of the Church is to give Glory to God.
This gives rise to 6 Principles governing the life of the church, which are:

To worship God.
To bear witness to the Gospel.
To be a community, not just an organisation.
To engage in spiritual warfare.
To disciple believers as followers of Christ.
To take action in the local and global community.
